• Glue the nose cone to the forward end of the cylinder.

• Cut 3 triangles to form old-fashioned “fins” for the base of the rocket. Fold each slightly to create a narrow flap and glue each flap at equal distances on the sides at the base of the rocket.

• Hold the rocket upside down. Pour the lemon juice into the film canister part of the rocket.

• Stretch a piece of toilet paper over the opening. Pinch it to the edges of the canister so it is held lightly across the opening (with some slack—but not touching the lemon juice).

• Pour the baking soda into the slackened paper and—still holding the rocket upside down—snap on the lid. Trim off any excess paper.
